漆黒の闇の中にある光。星雲や銀河、その光の色に想いを馳せつくりました。

ベースは墨染め。内側はさらに深い黒漆を南宋にも重ねています。

本体、ハンドルともに、研ぎ出しながら光の色を描きました。

留め具にはタモ材の格子状に光輝く奇跡の杢目材を。深いブルーに黒漆で惑星のような質感を。

Story & Description

I have always felt a deep yearning for the boundless universe that stretches beyond the night sky—for the subtle light amidst the pitch darkness, and the vivid colors of distant nebulae and galaxies. This piece was created while reflecting on those cosmic hues.

The base is finished with traditional sumi ink dyeing. For the interior, multiple layers of deep black urushi lacquer have been painstakingly applied. Both the main body and the handle are carefully polished through a hand-burnishing process (togidashi) to evoke the luminous colors of the night sky.The clasp is crafted from rare, beautifully grained Japanese ash wood (tamo), shimmering in a lattice-like pattern. It features a deep blue accent overlaid with black urushi, giving it the mysterious texture of a distant planet.
