キラキラと光る杢目が美しい稀少木を目にした時、色とりどりの生命の息吹を感じたあの日が急に鮮やかに蘇りました。

200年を超える時を生き抜いてきたシナノキが残した美しい「杢目」という生き様の中に

連綿と繋がる命を重ね合わせ。。。

細かな彫りに心のままカラフルな色を刺し、時間をかけて創り上げた渾身作。

Story & Description

A memory of the coral seas in the Southern Hemisphere—underneath the tranquil surface, sunlight streamed down, transforming the ocean into a vibrant forest of color. It was a paradise teeming with life, overflowing with the pure joy of existing, as if mesmerized by a grand carnival.

When I encountered this rare wood with its shimmering, exquisite grain, that vivid surge of life suddenly rushed back to me.

Within the magnificent grain—a testament to a Japanese lime tree that weathered over two centuries—I superimposed the continuous thread of life itself. Intricately hand-carved and infused with vibrant colors from the heart, this masterwork was crafted over countless hours of dedicated devotion.
