KINOKABAN After the Rain

When the artisan looks through the camera lens in the garden after the rain, raindrops reflect the colors of the surrounding flowers and grass, revealing a world of vibrant hues.

What color is the dot in the center?

This KINOKABAN is dyed a vivid blue as a base and finished with raw lacquer. The deep, deep green is applied in a subtle two-tone color scheme between the lid and the body, and the world seen through the lens was then incorporated into the design.

It features the rich, lustrous sheen and smooth texture unique to lacquer. The grain resembles a sumi-e ink painting. The inside is a soft pastel green to match the title. With its vivid carved patterns and more, this piece is packed with delights all in one bag.

Precautions for use

No special care is required for wooden bags. Wooden products develop a distinctive flavor as they are used, and we hope you will enjoy the changes that occur as you use them.

To ensure that you can use our products without worrying about rain stains, dirt, or color transfer to your clothes, we have applied a sufficient layer of urushi lacquer or coating agent. Please wipe it dry with a soft cloth when it gets wet from use on a rainy day. If it gets dirty, wipe with water. If stains cannot be removed, a diluted neutral detergent can be used.

Although the durability of the product has been carefully considered, it may be damaged by falling, impact, or rubbing due to its characteristics as a wooden product. Please handle with care. We recommend storing the product in a well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight. Please avoid storing the product under direct sunlight or in extremely high temperature and humidity for long periods of time, as this may cause the product to deteriorate, develop mold, or fade in color.
