Story & Description

A silent winter forest, brought to life through white dyeing and hand-burnished urushi lacquer (togidashi).

It depicts a soundless realm where snow gently settles upon quiet, sleeping trees. The defining characteristic of this piece lies in its striking contrast: the soft, organic chisel marks on the front paired with the crisp, dignified texture of urushi on the sides.

Crafted with the artist Yuki Kamei’s signature technique of "carving as if drawing," this work elevates a quiet inner landscape into a three-dimensional sculptural masterpiece.
