漆だからこそ描き得る「本物の黒」の圧倒的な質感の中に、新月近くの闇夜と研ぎ澄まされた光の対比を映し出しました。

特に象徴的なのは、ハンドルの表情。一見すると深い黒でありながら、光を受けると研ぎ出し技法によって蒼と黒が重なり合う複雑で透明感のあるブルーが浮かび上がります。 留め具には格子状に美しい光を放つタモの稀少杢を配し、本体にはうっすらと浮かぶ雲に見立てたガラス粒の光を添えました。

さらに静謐な夜の静けさから底面へ目を移すと、一転して明るくポップな遊び心が顔を覗かせます。細部に至るまで揺るぎないこだわりを詰め込んだ一品です。

A ray of blue light piercing through pitch black.

This work captures the contrast between a dark night near the new moon and a sharp, solitary light, embodied within the rich depth that only genuine black urushi lacquer can achieve.

The handle serves as a striking focal point. Though appearing black at first glance, the hand-burnished technique (togidashi) reveals an intricate, highly saturated shade of blue beneath the surface. The clasp is crafted from rare grained Japanese ash (tamo) that reflects light in a delicate grid pattern, while embedded glass beads resemble soft, moonlit clouds drifting across the night sky.

In contrast to the serene stillness of the body, looking at the bottom reveals a bright, vibrant sense of playfulness. Every detail of this piece is filled with meticulous craftsmanship and passion.
